Welcome to our Webpage. We are Seniors in a Local Government Class at Watkins Glen High School. On this site you will find information on the History of Schuyler County.Click on the Links to Learn More.

Schuyler County was founded in 1828. It was named for Phillip John Schuyler, a general in the French and Indian War and member of the Continental Congress. Schuyler's acreage is part of the Finger Lakes area preempted from the Iroquois Confederacy at the order of the new U.S. government.
